Another Halifax Reference book?

Another Halifax Reference book?

Recently I came across a 1971 paperback publication on Lancasters in a second hand book store entitled:

Lancaster Bomber

D.B. Tubbs

The Pan/Ballantyne Illustrated History of WW II

Ever hungry for more info, I picked it up. On the back inside page it gives some "Selected titles from 75 available Illustrated World War II series" ... quote, unquote. Now I am wondering whether this series produced one on the Halifax?

The book does give a contact address for Pan/Ballantyne as being:

PO BOX 11

Falmouth

Cornwall

... the trouble being I am not sure whether they still exist as publishers __ in this era of mergers and takeovers __ and/or indeed whether they can still be found in Cornwall?

Is anyone familiar with the series and do they know if a book was produced in the series on Halifaxes?

Thank you

Darryl Sandall

Hi Darryl,

Have done some checking in local phone directories here in Cornwall but can't find anything on Pan/Ballantyne.

Thanks 'Lone Ranger'. And "NO! I have't forgotten about those photos!

It's "giddy up Ding Dong" here ___ a far cry from "Hi Ho Silver!"

Thanks for trying!

Darryl

With ref to your reply to Darryl about "crap" and showing respect, the remarks he made are a reference to me that he makes for a lot of work i carried out for him just recently, i can assure you that there is no disrespect meant, and no offence taken.
