Hi Ian,

Quote from "They Shall Grow Not Old": F/O(P) Leon PARENT, J/20227, from Ste.Agathe Des Monts, Provence Qubec, Canada. Killed in Action Jun 7/44, age 21, # 263 Squadron (Ex Ungue Leonem). F/O Parent was making a dive-bombing attack on some shipping in the harbour of St.Malo, France when his Typhoon a/c # MN515 was hit by flak. F/O Parent bailed out at 2,000 ft and was last seen swimming in the water about 500 yds. off shore at St.Malo Old Town." Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

Regards,

Henk.

Thanks Henk

The 263 ORB mentions an anti shipping strike to Sark, I was going to add him to my list.

Reading a microfilm can be difficult - for "missing 4 June 1944" read "missing 7 June 1944".
