Hi,

Have just started a book called Blenheim Boy by Richard Passmore, out of curiosity i've checked the date he was shot down, in BC Losses and there is only one Blenheim that fits the bill, that of 40sqdn, obviously my question is, is Richard Passmore an alias for R Peacock.

TIA regards..Alan.

Alan,

Yes. Confirmed in the bibliographic notes (p337) to David Gunby's history of 40 Sqn RAF - 'Sweeping the Skies'.

Errol,

Thanks for the confirmation Errol, though i cannot understand why a book published in 1981 should for some reason have no indications of the squadrons identities that are involved in the book, but for that, it's a good read.

Cheers...Alan.
