Hi. Can anyone help me with any information pertaining to an RAF pilot named Arrowsmith? He flew Blenheims with 11 Squadron in the Far East in 1942, and later flew Hurricanes with 60 Squadron in the 1943-45 period. Thank you.

Jim,

There is a brief reference to a Sgt A W Arrowsmith of 135 Sqn (Hurricanes) in the first volume of 'Bloody Shambles' by Chris Shores, et al. This may be your man but, if the initials quoted are correct, he was not a member of the RNZAF as the book suggests. THe only RNZAF Arrowsmith to serve in the RNZAF prior to 1944 was Wilfred James Arrowsmith.
