Could someone please throw light on the crash of Liberator KH126 from 53 Sqn on 22 November 1945? Interesting cause of crash, names of crew and passengers.

Regards.

Nail.

Nail,

The following is extracted from Air-Britain's "United in Effort, The Story of No.53 Squadron RAF 1916-1976" by Jock Manson:

F/O. S. Kleybor (Polish), NAV, Killed.

F/O. A. Wize (Polish), WAG, Killed.

F/L. J. Brzezinski (Polish), F/E, Killed.

(The passengers are not named.)

"F/L L Mielecki and crew were killed on 22 November when KH126 crashed at White's Farm near Broadway Pound, Somerset shortly after take off from Merryfield. The twenty-two paasenger on board also perished."

I hope this will help you on your way, Tony
