According to The Times of Sat. 23-12-1939 Flight Cadet (LAC ?) Warren A. SMITH - 581766, was killed on active service 13-12-1939. His name is commemorated on Panel 3 of the Bristol (Arno's Vale) Crematorium, Glos.
Looking for his cause of death.
He may have been on:
Magister I - L1816 - 236 Sqn - spun into ground Clopton, Suffolk, also killing Sgt (Pilot) Edward Mc.CLUGGAGE - 521091, or
Audax I - K7423 - RAFC - crashed on overshoot at night Cranwell.
Regards and thanks for your help.
Henk.

Henk, the Magister should read R1816.
Smith's death registered at Sleaford and no doubt associated with the loss of the Audax.

Thanks Dave for info on LAC Smith and Audax.
Typo for the Magister serial, AB Aeromilitaria indeed has R1816.

Henk.
