What caused the death of P/O (Pilot) Frank GOWER-JONES - 22136, according to The Times 2 Jan 1940 killed on active service. He lies buried Edingburgh (Corstorphine Hill) Cemetery (UK7469).
Possible write-offs for this date:
Magister I - N3806 - SF Turnhouse - dived into ground 3 miles SW of Turnhouse.
Master I - N7423 - 5 FTS - crashlanded White Waltham

the death cert for Gower-Jones records his death at Middle Norton, Ratho, S of Turnhouse airfield.
