What caused the death of the following airmen, according to The Times killed on active service:

P/O (Pilot) Alan J. MATHEW - 42250, buried Edinburgh (Corstorphine Hill) Cemetery, and

Cpl (Wop/Ag - Pilot u/t) David IRVING - 526562, buried Paisley (Hawkhead) Cem., Renfrewshire.

Possible aircraft write-offs:

Harvard I - P5848 - 15 FTS - crashed in forced landing at night near Fochabers, Moray.

Magister I - L5930 - RAF Hucknall - crashed on landing near Uttoxeter, Staffs.

both were in the Harvard at Gordon Castle, Fochabers
