Details: Crashed on landing - Bad condition ac. Bending of brake caused crash. On April 8, F/L Aitkens and Sgt. Gill brought back the first two Buffalos, which being survivors of the Burma campaign, were in very sorry condition. 2nd Lt Rowe ( SAAF ) brought another a/c to Dinjan on April 9. As he was taxiing it to dispersal the undercarriage of the Buffalo collapsed. During their brief periods of serviceability the Buffaloes were used for training. No spares were available, and training of the Squ. was held up because of the changing policy with regard to a/c.
