Details 1530Hrs. Dived into ground for no obvious reason. Pilot Killed. 9 aircraft mission scrambled but made no contact with enemy. Sector Operations report what may have been hysterical behaviour of pilot heard over R/T. On 29, the Crashed aircraft ws located 8m SSW of Chiringa. It had apparently spun into mudflats with engine on and ended up 14feet below ground level. IT was impossible to recover the body or any of the aircraft owing to the fact the hole made by aircraft was full of water even at low tide.
