Training Aircraft Losses 1942Please can anybody add to the following accidents: 1. On 9 January 1942, Oxford X6657 of 14 (P)AFU crashed into a builders hut at Lyneham. The pilot, Sgt Thomas G Smith, died of his injuries and three civilian workmen were killed and two injured. Does anybody know the names of the workmen? 2. On 9 November 1942, Anson AX322 flew into high ground near Moneymore, Co. Tyrone. Were there any casualties? 3. On 28 November 1942, Anson DJ635 crashed in Wales. The identified crew were: Sgts D E Johnson RCAF and C R Morgan RNZAF, with: LACs J R Knowles and G Ross. Who was the fifth fatal casualty?
