Sgt J.J.Pawsey 928713 Halifax DK170Adrian, Hi, This is a difficult one! The following is in the public domain:- James John Pawsey b. Q1 1921 (MMS Pawsey!) Reg Yarmouth 4b 61 Mid-April 1940 Enlisted 928713 in Block 900000-934899 RAFVR Issued Uxbridge 04-Jan-40 to 30-Apr-40. Aged 19. AIR 78/124/2 Image 250 R3C2. No ‘hits’ in the LG for Name/Number. m. ?? ??? ???? d. 12 Jun 1943 in DK170. Now the Pawsey family seems to have married cousins at some time(s), but I can’t find a marriage for this one! So we must consider that this birth Reg may be ‘non-standard’. It is possible that James J Pawsey may have married an Edna M Hargrave in Q3 1938 (Reg W Glamorgan 11a 2476) – two girls from this marriage Reg in E&W. But whether it is the same J J Pawsey I know not. You could try getting the known Certs from GRO to see if the Informants/Witnesses might be connected, but I think you may have trouble chasing this one any further!
