Halifax II DT624, cr. December 15th 1942 | Hello everyone I'm looking for details about the loss of Halifax II DT624 of 405 (R.C.A.F.) Squadron, which crashed near East Boldre, Hampshire on December 15th 1942. The only information I have is from the Hampshire Crashes website, that it suffered an engine failure. My copy of Chorley's BCL 1942 doesn't seem to have an entry for the loss. Can anyone tell me if it was on an Op or a training flight, and confirm if the crew were as follows: R/85406 WO2 Stewart, Robert William, Pilot R/57608 F/S Rollins, Richard Alan, Flight Engr 1019207 Sgt Ryan, James, Observer 541917 F/S Watson, Lewis Gilbert, Bomb Aimer 1377351 Gapes, Albert George Henry, WOp/AG R/120164 Gunn, Harold William, Air Gunner R/115190 Sgt Shaw, Robert James Abadore, Air Gunner Many thanks, Regards Simon ....Read More. | wwrsimon on 10th September 2016 06:57:44 |
