Captain Jackson??F/Sgt P Woodcock 156 Squ RAF Pathfinder Lancaster ED840 My Mother was engaged to Sgt Woodcock at the time he was killed in action on the night of 16/17th June 1943. I understand that F/Sgt Woodcock was on his 43 mission but I don't have confirmation of this, can anyone help here? 156 Squadron have a very good website with a lot of info. Sgt L.G.Ledamun in Camps L6/357, PoW No.328. Wounded in head and legs but not Hospitalised. Sgt E.E.Weare initially evaded until betrayed by 'Captain Jackson' and captured in Paris 3Aug43 and interned in Camp 4B, PoW No.222540. Escaped 6Apr45. UK 18May45. " I am interested in the three crew members that survived, a amazing act concidering the plane was shot down by flak, but I was intrigued by the mention of "Captain Jackson".
