E.A. Cummings, killed 3-9-39Just to update. A memorial cairn was unveiled on Bennachie on 2nd September 2012 to commemorate the crew of Wallace K6028, PO Ellard Cummings and LAC Ronald Stewart. The poignant ceremony took place on the hillside of Bennachie, between the two crash sites, in bright sunshine with a light breeze and was attended by around 80 people including relatives of all the airmen. A little more about it can be read here Remembered and not forgotten. Linzee ....Read More.Linzee on 24th November 2012 01:51:06
