411029 - Unaccounted airmen - 29-10-1941What were the places of death registration for: A - Killed on active service: LAC (Pilot u/t) David C. ROSS - 1343838, and LAC (Pilot u/t) William J.V. SAMUEL - 978580. B - Not found Flight archives: LAC (Pilot u/t) David N.S. BIRTWELL - 655454, and LAC (Obs u/t) Frank F. MORGAN - 655915. C - Proposed aircraft losses for this day: Oxford I - L4626 - RAFC - flew into ground near Rauceby, Lincolnshire. Oxford I - R5942 - RAFC - dived into ground Great Gonerby, Lincolnshire (alrady as a casualty on this a/c: F/O [Flying Instr.] E.M. COMPERTHWAITE - 62682 [fm Canada]). D - Also looking for unit of Sgt Phillip N. LLOYD - 928435, commemorated on Panel 47 of the Runnymede Memorial. It is possible that he was 6 OTU; Australian Archives have on file that Sgt Ernest G. 411029 - Unaccounted airmen - 29-10-1941I was concerned that posting this next batch of answers from the F1180s would have put Henk under too much pressure to update after his request to remove his user name. I now post them to contine his legacy on RAF Commands. Birtwell confirmed by F1180 as sole fatality on Oxford L4626 Oxford R5942 had three fatalities so all the Grantham men killed on this aircraft.
