Lancaster's losses Belgium January 1944Hi Phil Not sure if this helps ,but from Chorley- Bomber Command Losses Vol5 I found 2 possibles, both from an op to Berlin on the night of 1/2 Jan '44. 101 Sqn DV308, included because the crew are buried at Gosselies which I believe is about 10 mls E of Mons. The crash site is not given, but it seems to have been common for the Germans to bury people close to where they came down. 156 Sqn MD384, which crashed at Grandrieu which I believe is about 15 mls SSE of Mons Hope this helps Regards Dick ....Read More.Dick on 20th March 2009 07:17:06
