Flt Lt Lewis and F Sgt Watts set off on teh Northern Coastal REcce. F Sgt Watts would not get his uc retracted. his engine failed due to voerheating. He was killed in the ensuing crash. WO Evans Hardy and F Sgt Barnes covered the crashed aircraft ground search party
