To follow on Ian's message, Michael Lister Robinson, according to "Aces High", claimed a Bf-109E on 6th September 1940. He was flying Hurricane I P3675 coded UF-S, location of the claim is given at North [of] Mayfield. He was indeed with No. 601 Squadron at the time, was posted to No. 238 Squadron at the end of the month, still as a flight commander, but promoted to Squadron Leader and given the command of No. 609 Squadron. He remained C.O. until the end of July 1941 when he became Biggin Hill Wing leader, but he was declared "tour expired" about a month later.
He was lost on 10th April 1942, as Tangmere wing leader, together with his long-time friend Free French Maurice Choron, most probably fallen in the Channel.
