MC bombs but retaining his 8 red target indicators as further marking was not required. The main force did not arrive until 12:04 and from 11:50 onward had been repeatedly ordered by the Master Bomber to increase speed. Bombing was well concentrated in the airfield area, apart from one stick which fell in a wood to the N.E. The whole airfield west of east intersection was heavily cratered. There was nil cloud and excellent visibility. It was noticed that the runways were not camouflaged.
