A local Dutch Policeman Wolter Nijboer, witnessed the crash and made the initial report. It should be emphasised that the remains of the other six crew men, having taken 18 months to identify were eventually fully identified and have been afforded a full Military Funeral and buried alongside their comrade F/S Philp.
