420422 - Unaccounted airmen - 22-4-1942 | Botha L6210 was a non fatal incident, but was recorded on the 24th by the ORB, the entry for the 22nd did list a couple of accidents but these were also relatively minor. April 22nd 1942, “Collision of Anson N5372 with Anson R9587 at Squires Gate Aerodrome whilst taxying Sgt Cunningham the pilot was not injured. Spitfire R7128 crashed on landing at Squires Gate. The pilot, P/O O’Gorman was slightly injured.” April 24th 1942, “Botha L6210 piloted by Sgt Smith force landed on the foreshore, Blackpool.
