The men were pupil pilots at a flying school, and lost their lives on Tuesday, September 5, when, on the main London road Quemerford, just outside Calne, at 9.15 ih the evening, their car collided with the lorry. The other occupant of the car who was taken to hospital, was stated to know nothing of the accident. Evidence showed that the lorry had a strong rear light. Some yards after it had rounded a bend, the car, travelling in the same direction at a fast speed with dimmed lights, collided with the rear of the lorry.
