420216 - Unaccounted airmen - 16-2-1942Took a copy of the No.2 EFTS ORB recently and so can now belatedly answer Henk's question for those updating his lists. ORB confirms date as 26th April 1944 Location is Earls Court Farm, Bromyard Road, near Worcester, Worcestershire. Aircraft finally written off in this incident, pilot Sgt R Henderson, 1564276, abandoned safely by parachute but navigator Sgt Hicklin appears to have been unable to leave the aircraft and so was killed. Which Squadron ?Alex These don't match 100% match with the initials you've listed, but: P/O Richard Davis and P/O Richard Jackson Wilson were killed in a road traffic accident when their car hit a telegraph pole near Norwich. Contemporary newspaper reports state that they were 'attached to R.A.F. Feltwell.' The Western Daily Press, amongst others, reported on March 28th 1938 that F/O Alexander Grove Thomson was killed, along with 803478 AC2 Robert Henderson Starrett, in a 603 Sqn aircraft which crashed at Beich, Midlothian.
