    I'm sorry not to have got back to you sooner. I use the board for research as I'm a battlefield guide and only really come on here if I've something specific to look up.

    My uncle was the second navigator. I don't know how much you know about the circumstances of the aircraft's loss, but the surviving crew members were interviewed after the war and it appears that a flak shell hit the middle section of the plane, killing most of them. As to documents, the records of the POWs are at the National Archives and I have my uncle's flying log book.

    I've just discovered the rafcommands forum and was surprised to find a thread about Granville Wilson. He was my mother's cousin and is still fondly remembered by the senior members of our family.

    I'd be interested to find out which member of the crew your uncle was and if you had any photographs or documents you'd be willing to share. The list of ops the two of them shared is most interesting.
