Mike, Sorry for taking you to task again, but the para you quote has nothing to do with this particular set of circumstances. Time accrued towards...

Mike, I thought 196 Sqn was part of 38 Group during the period in question. As 38 Group was not part of Bomber Command, its aircrew members would...

The best I can do, is some point during the first 6 months of 1940. If I stuck my neck out I'd say April - June of that year.

The 582 Sqn ORB indicates that W/C Cribb (DSO DFC) was the M/B for the Russelsheim raid on 12/13 Aug 44. From the same ORB it appears that Flt Lt...

Thanks for that. Do you know whether these courses were always held at Kinloss or did they move around?

johnny, I'm so sorry, I don't know your friend. We controlled the air sea rescue (I was a plotter) and the only thiing I can remember is very nice parties aboard the air sea rescue launches in Dover harbour.
Once again, I'm sorry to have rather frivolous information. When I was injured the ops room was wrecked. There were approximately thirty WAAFS injured or killed at Biggin Hill I believe.
