Hello Hugh, I have been directed to this site by a person similar to yourself but one from the Army site, I am try to find out information on a Canadian Pilot who died in the war, the reason is there is not much information on him on the Canadian Virtual Memorial and I wanted to try and get some more facts down about him so that anybody who read it or a surviving relative could know a little more about him and the fact he was shot down on my birthdate made it a personal venture. I will give you some information about him what I have so far found out: 42846 Pilot Offr George Robert Lambert KIA 06/07/1940 (buried in Andover Cemetry) London Gazzette 25/06/1940 States he was graded to PO on 18/05/1940 I would like to know his aircraft, unit well as much as I can really, I have tried the website Airforce Asc of Canada where you enter details to search data base but to no avail unless Im missing something, can you point me further kind regards James
Hello Hugh - I have some pics of 441 Squadron Spits taken at B.11 Longues that have surfaced in Oz!! Please drop me an e-mail and I will send them over to you - I can't find you in my address book, but I am sure we have corresponded before, probably via Dave Clark (I haven't heard from Dave for some time). allan.hillman@btinternet.com cheers Allan
