The RAF casualty list printed in Flight amgazine APRIL 3RD, 1941

lists him as Died on Active Service.

This usually indicates a death from illness, car accident not related to him being on duty, deaths from natural causes but we have also seen it to relate to men killed when hit by propellers and the like. But I would be confident it was not an aircraft crash or similar.

    Hi Dennis

Many thanks for your time and trouble.

He is not, to the best of my knowledge, on any RoH and I stumbled across him while researching the Walsall RoH.

    Regards,

    Graeme
