    Default Lysander L4710

    Hello,

Lysander L4710 of Western Desert Communication Unit undershot a landing in the desert near Cairo on 6 July 1942, overturned and was destroyed by fire (from 'Royal Air Force Aircraft L1000-N9999).

Is there anyone with info on the crew and the fate of them?

    Best wishes/Håkan

    Hi Håkan,

I don't have any info on the crew but if you do a google search for 'Lysander L4710' one of the hits is a photo of the aircraft on Flickr.

    Hello ALex,

    Thanks for your reply.
I have a very similar, probably taken at the same occasion, but with a truck close by, which we are discussing in using in 'Desert Prelude Part 2' that is bound for the printers in February. Thus my question.

    Best wishes/Håkan
