Default Identities Ventura aircrew 1942-1943 21 Squadron

    Dear all,

I'm looking for the full names and identity/service numbers of the next aircrew of 21 Squadron:

    Pilots
    Sgt L. L. G. Jones
    F/Sgt C. E. Rutherford

    Navigator/bomber aimers
    Sgt L. M. Bentley
    F/Sgt R. Robinson
    Sgt Ronald S. Thompson

    Wireless operators/air gunners
    Sgt N. R. Cornwell
    Sgt T. J. Cross
    Sgt E. T. Donovan
    Sgt R. J. Eustace
    Sgt B. Gaunt
    Sgt E. R. Goddard
    Sgt E. Hadley
    Sgt G. W. Hewitt
    Sgt G. J. Lambshine
    Sgt William R. Legge
    Sgt F. D. Long
    Sgt J. K. Loudon
    Sgt J. K. McConnell
    Sgt T. W. McErcheron(?)
    Sgt E. W. Payton
    F/O D. G. Pearson
    P/O E. C. Shaffer
    F/Sgt E. E. Stephens
    Sgt J. L. Weston
    Sgt W. Williams

I've already checked the CWGC records and London Gazette. Of course I don't expect that someone has all requested info on file, I would be glad if just only a couple of details could be added.

Thanks in advance for your effort,
    Hans Nauta

    Hi Christian,

Thank you very much voor the added details!

RCAF, RAAF and RNZAF personnel are hardly mentioned in the London Gazette, I'm glad some details have surfaced now.

    Best wishes,
    Hans

    Hans,

I've checked my RNZAF database but no obivious candidates to match those on your list.

    Have you checked http://www.ww2roll.gov.au/script/name.asp#summary1
    for RAAF possibilities?

    Hi Errol,

    Thanks for checking!

And yes, I've already consulted the nominal roll at the NAA websites, no hits unfortunately.

    Regards,
    Hans
