Foreman's Fighter Command War Diaries lists just the one 41S a/c missing along with its pilot, with two more returning damaged. My record has the missing a/c as BL777.

41 Sqn had the following losses during the Dieppe Raid.

    1st Mission: Nil
2nd Mission: 'Some' aircraft suffered minor bullet damage after clashing with Fw190's (no other details I'm afraid, even the Sqn ORB goes no further).
3rd Mission: S/L Hyde (BL777) shotdown and killed, Sgt Imbet (EN836) suffered Cat A damage, but unharmed, four more aircraft suffered minor damage. All of this caused by AAA.

    Regards,

    Steve
