    Default Book "Into the Silk"

    Hi,
Has anyone got a copy of the book "Into the Silk" by Ian Mackersey, as i'm trying to remember the name of one of the airmen in it. From memory, i think he was Australian, blown out of his aircraft with no chute, on way down he hit something and instinctivley grabbed it, to find it was a fellow crewman who had just opened his chute, thus saving his life as well.
    tia.....Alan.

Just came into my head, it was Joe Herman and John Vivash.

FLight Lieuntent Joe Herman (Pilot) and Flight Sergeant John ("Irish") Vivash (mid-upper Gunner) (Halifax LV936 466 Sqn HD-D) November 4th 1944 (bomb Bochum). Herman was the one who grabbed the legs of Vivash. BTE I 'tickled' this info out of Google Books as "Into the Silk" has been scanend
