    Default Ramrod 613, 2 March 1944

Ramrod 613 on 2 March 1944 foresaw four attacks by No. 2 Group Mitchells, Bostons and Mosquitos on targets in north-western France, escorted by 11 Group fighters, as follows:

    1st Attack: Bois Rempne (???)
2nd Attack: Bois de la Justice, Pas-de-Calais
    3rd Attack: Maisoncelle, Pas-de-Calais
    4th Attack: Écalles & Grand Parc, Haute-Normandie

The name of the target in the first attack is written in the 11 Group ORB Appendix, but I can find no such location in France. Does anyone know what the actual name was, please?

Secondly, one Boston failed to return from the second attack, to Bois de la Justice. Can this aircraft be identified and the fate of aircraft and crew established? One interpretation of the 11 Group Appendix suggests it may not have been a result of enemy action.

Any help on these two queries would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Unable to help with location, but the Boston lost at 'Bois de la Justice' was (from ABS)

BZ308, OA-V of 342s, shot down by flak. Have pilot as Sgt? P. DESPREZ
