    Hello all, hope I am not asking too many questions but can anyone tell me details on how the following lost his life

    Name: BROWN, BRIAN ARTHUR KEITH
    Initials: B A K
    Nationality: United Kingdom
    Rank: Flight Sergeant
    Regiment/Service: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
    Age: 21
    Date of Death: 23/09/1944
    Service No: 1587343
    Additional information: Son of Arthur George and Olive Brown, of Stansted, Essex.
    Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

    Hello Glyn,

    According my "War Deaths RAF" files, he did belong to 132 (C) OTU, operating from East Fortune in 1944.

    Missing according CWGC. Sorry no aircraft serial number. Guess....Beaufighter or Mosquito?

    Hi Glyn,

    A possible on this date is Beaufighter JL423 of 132 OTU which FTR after t/o for a night training exercise on 23/9/44. After 20 mins Flying Control tried to contact the aircraft to recall but nothing further heard.

    Also have Brown on JL423 with second casualty F/Sgt Albert C. FREEMAN - 1615525, Runnymede Panel 217.
