Default Help with research into a Group Captain.

    Hello,

I would be grateful for any research pointers in relation to the following airman who rose to the rank of Group Captain.

B A P Williams (I believe his christian names were Bryan Anthony Phillip).

I have his LG entries but was wondering if anyone could add any extra info.

    Thank you,
    Tail End Charlie

Still with us in the 1982 List but gone by the 2007 Retired List, I regret to say.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your help. That has filled in gaps re his birth and death.

When did the RAF lists cease giving squadron details? Pre 1939 no doubt!

    Thanks again,

    Default Group Captain B A P Williams

A bit late I know, but he was my father and upon retirement from the RAF as I understand it he worked in Intelligence at the new SHAPE headquarters in Belgium for two or three years. He died in Hastings a few years later.
From my memory he went to Staff College at Bracknell and thence to RAF Medmenham. The next post was with AAFCE in Fontainebleau 57/60 followed by RAF College Cranwell 60/62 and thence to RAF Finningley 62/64. This was followed by a posting to HQ Fighter Command at Bentley Priory and then to SHAPE HQ in Paris. He moved from there to Belgium.
My daughter (also ex-RAF) has all the log books etc.

    Hello there

Blimps, it's not evryday that this happens. Am I correct in believing that your father was a member of the goldfish club?
