    Default Serial number J25201

    Serial number J25201

I am looking at a WW2 navigator from Canada, his service number was J25201.
Would this be a RCAF or RAF listing?
He was initially posted to No2 ITS, then No5 AOS- any ideas on these?

Searching the Canada Gazette for the term J25201 gives you

    T/F/O (A/F/I,) J. P. Leydon, DFC, CAN (J25201 )

Don't include / or . or anything between the J and the number when searching.

Thank you Dennis, thats the chap I was looking for. Presume T/F/O is temp flying officer?
but not sure what O/T/F/O is.
Out of interest Leydon was serving at 35 squadron pathfinders at RAF Graveley November 1944, as navigator in Lancaster crew, usually skippered by New Zealander L B Lawson.

    Thanks
