    Default Coastal Command Wellington Units.

    Hi!
Received information this week-end about a possible Norwegian pilot flying anti-U-boat searches over the Bay of Biscay sometime during the period 1942-44. Flying Wellingtons equipped with Leigh Light. What units were flying Wimpy's out of Devon/Cornwall in this period?

    TIA

I anticipated your request in 2003 and put the Coastal Command Order of Battle on this very site to cover any questions on Coastal assets and locations.

Try No.172 Sqn or No.179 Sqn

Have looked around and found two more candidates: 547 Sqn and 612 Sqn. But these were probably not equipped with Leigh Light?
