Keefe, after shooting down two Bv138s on his first operational trip, had his port engine knocked out and was forced to crash land at his home base. Fortunately, with no injuries.

The Canadian War Museum newspapers collection quotes the Globe & Mail 7 Aug 1943, "Anken, Charles Percy, LAC, died of natural causes in Canada"
