    Default 430801 - Unaccounted airwoman/airman - 1-8-1943

    What were the places of death registration for:

    AC2 Richard W. BETTS - 1600287, and
    ACW2 Daphne B. MEAD - 2010332,
    who both died on active service.

    AC2 Richard W. BETTS - 1600287 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Westminster Hospital.

    Leslie Albert Hatley 1337282 , was seriously injured at 09:15 hours at Lentini West in an accidental fire in a bivouac on 31st July. Admitted to Number 30 mobile field hospital, he died the following day at 19:00 hours

    Daphne Betty Mead 2010332 , a radio telephone operator attached to RAF Andover, died on leave in Miller Hospital, Greenwich of septecemia due to celulitis of the face and neck and boils on her lips

    John Francis Seager Hole 1238035 , attached to 111 OTU , was killed at 16:00 hours at RAF Nassau when he was struck by the air screw of Mitchell FK 180

    Edred Frederick Day 1442960 and

    John Francis Seagar Hole 1238035 ,

    Both electricians attached to 111 OTU, we're working on the engine of Mitchell FK 180 at RAF Nassau at 16:00 hours when the carburettor caught fire . Moving away from the blaze they were both struck by the Airscrew and killed

    Hi @jonheyworth, this is my partner's grandfather and we were trying to find details of his death early last year. Thanks so much for posting this. Do you have more info? Documents etc? Luke has photos of the burial area, and training on the beach at Nassau. Any further help much appreciated.
