Podczas kolejnego uniku obronnego samolot runal na ziemie pod Swinderby i stanal w plomieniach. Pilot poniosol smierc. Pochowany na cmentarzu w Newark, grob nr 318 K.

The entry in Cumft/Kujawa's book reads:
P-780559 Felus Kazimierz, sierz. pil. - W/O, born 6 Jan. 1903. Posted to 1485 BGS Flight (Air Gunnery Training Flight), on 6 Aug. 1943 flew in Miles "Martinet" no. HP 318 on a training sortie with the duty to avoid attacks performed by "Manchester" no. R 5835. During another evasive action the aeroplane crashed to the ground at Swinderby and burst in flames. The pilot was killed. Buried at Newark cemetery, grave no. 318 K.

Performing a sortie for bomber crew fighter co-operation training. About 16.45 spun and crashed at Eagly, Lincs. The pilot was killed

Pilot was Sgt K A Wells, 1391945, Injured.

AC1 Gordon W. BICKLEY - 1577689 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's Peiple website records that he died between 10.30 p.m. and 10.45 p.m. on the Invergordon to Kildary road, opposite the entrance to Balintraid Farm, due to a fracture, the result of a road accident.
