Default Sergeant David John White (142 Squadron)

    Hi all,

I am looking for info on Sergeant David John White and if possible would like to find any descendants of him. I am researching a Wellington crash in which he was involved.

This is the info we have on him so far:
    Name: WHITE, DAVID JOHN
    Initials: D J
    Nationality: United Kingdom
    Rank: Sergeant (Pilot)
Regiment/Service: Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
    Unit Text: 142 Sqdn.
    Age: 20
    Date of Death: 25/03/1942
    Service No: 1166180
Additional information: Son of Thomas and Jennie White.
    Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Allied Plot. Row 1. Grave 20.
Cemetery: THE HAGUE (WESTDUIN) GENERAL CEMETERY

Age: 20, so must be born around 1921-1922
Son of Thomas and Jennie White, and he had a sister (headstone mentiones 'our only son and brother')
Signed up at Cardington (Bedfordshire) in April 1940
Posted to 142 Squadron on 10 August 1941. Unknown from where.

Hopefully someone at this forum can give my long search a new lead or new information. Thanks in advance!

Do not bump threads in such a short time.

I draw your attention to the board sticky message on identification of living persons.
