I have two pilots of 41 Squadron assisting 2 Spitfires and a Warwick of 276 (ASR) Squadron, and a Mosquito of 406 Squadron, after 21:00 on 7 June 1944, to search for the crew of a Liberator, who were located in dinghies about 70 miles from Bolt Head approximately in the coordinate aD45. The Warwick dropped a lifeboat to the men and seven (or nine, depending on the source) crew climbed into it. In due course, a High Speed Launch came out from Salcombe, retrieved them and brought them ashore. 41 Squadron's pilots were back at base at 22:45, so it was very late in the day.

Can anyone identify this particular aircraft and crew, please?

Thanks
Steve
