Default 92 Sq Spitfire pilot with a brother flying Bf 109s in the Luftwaffe?

Burns' book BADER'S MEN states that Lt. Albert "Bertie" Sachs, SAAF, who flew Spitfires with 92 Squadron in Italy in 1943 (and was the subject of an earlier query by me here) was of German background and that in 1943 his brother was flying Bf 109s for the Luftwaffe in Italy!

Does anyone know who this brother might be? Any other information on this?

    Hello !

Not surprising, Pierre Closterman had a cousin who was also a fighter pilot on the other side ....
I have heard the same thing for some american pilot of german origin .

Do you know if some german's airmen made POW asked to fight on allied side ???

    Alain.
