    Pavel,

According to U-boat.net U-74 was in La Spezia on 2 Feb 1942. It completed it previous voyage on 8 Jan 1942, and left for its last operation on 23 April 1942; sunk on 2 May 1942. See http://www.uboat.net/boats/patrols/index.html?boat=74

    Hi Brian
    My mistake. Sorry. Fate U74.
Sunk 2 May 1942 in the Mediterranean east of Cartagena, Spain, in position 37.32N, 00.10E, by depth charges from the British Destroyers HMS Wishart, HMS Wrestler and depth charges from a British Catalina aircraft (Sqdn. 202 / C). 47 dead (all hands lost).
Who was the crew Catalina (C) of 202 Sqn ?
    Regards Pavel
