    Could someone with access to a copy of A-B's Beaufort File, please tell me what it has to say about Beaufort I JM571?

    I had two options; 2(C)OTU and RAF North Coates, so thanks for the clarification.

    Took off North Coates, together with three other squadron aircraft to carry out operations off the Dutch coast. At 2336 an attack was made by all aircraft on enemy shipping and after this nothing was seen or heard from NE664, and the aircraft did not return.

    Both commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

    Hi Col,

    JM571
    North Coates Station Flight

    Took off RAF North Coates at 12:11 hrs

    Pilot in command F/O R L Maynard.

    Took off for transit flight to Crosby-on-Eden. Starboard engine failed 9 minutes into the flight and the Beaufort returned, landed without flaps and ran into an earth bank.

    Four injured and two safe.
