    Hi,
Armstrong Whitworth FK3 A1479 was involved in a write-off crash in 1918.Can anyone confirm the exact date and the location of the crash. There is a crash photograph and it is stuck up in a tree.

    Thanks,Philip

    Tom,

Should there be no response to your query here try the Great War Forum at

    http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php? .

It has a section that specifically deals with WW1 aviation queries (War i the Air) which I've found very helpful myself.

    Hello,

Have you tried the following thread in "Aerodrome Forum ?

    breguets-aircraft-id-challenge-70, circa december 2007

There are some good close-ups of wingtips and tail as well as the full pic of a/c up a tree possibly a Cedar .

Then there was Avro 504C serial 1479 Delivered by lorry to Chingford 18.2.16, Force landed and damaged en route visit to Hainault Farm on 24.3.16 and deleted 24.4.16.
    ref:RN a/c serials & Units 1911-1919(AB p).
