Hello !
Doing some research on the operation to Aubigne-Racan ammunition dump, night of 6/7 May 1944, I found an interesting thing:

As some know, A/C Ivelaw-Chapman was flying on this ops with a crew of 576 Squadron, and was shot down , he was made pow, which caused some trouble as he knew about the landing in Normandy .
But he was not the only one high ranking Officer this night, Group Captain Hughie Edwards VC,DSO, was in the same operation with a crew of 460 Squadron, and Air Commodore A M Wray DSO MC DFC AFC, was about to take off for the same target with a crew of 625 Squadron, but stopped on the tarmac by AOC on the last time !

Did you see already several "Brass Cap" flying in a same operation ???

Alain.
