Default Actual Locations of Noball Sites, Jan-Feb 1944

Could someone kindly assist with the actual locations of the following Noball sites, please, which I am having trouble locating on contemparary maps (Michelin/Google Maps/Google Earth)?

    A.54 Bois de Pottier
A.91 Beaulieu Ferme - (Ferme de Beaulieu, Pas-de-Calais -or- Ferme de Beaulieu, Picardie, perhaps?)
    A.93 La Sorellerie
    A.95 Le Grismont
A.106 Heudiere (there are a few "La Heudière" in existence, but none appear to have a Noball association)
A.114 Bois Megle (there is a "Le Bois Mègle" in Normandie, but it does not appear to have a Noball association)

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Hello,

From memory, but I'm sure of it, Le Grismont is at Rebecques, west of Aire-sur-la-Lys. While most of the others sounds familiar to me, having read them in various documents about Crossbow, I can't tell, at least from memory, whether they are in the Somme or in the Pas-de-Calais.

The book by Yannick Delefosse, "V1 arme du désespoir" published by LELA presse, has a detailed appendix about locations, and I'll have a look tonight.

Actually, a revised edition will be launched on 11th and 12th June 2011 during a display in the small village of Fiefs (between St Pol sur Ternoise and Aire-sur-la-Lys and Lillers), formerly Z3166.

That's a start. I look forward to hearing if you or anyone else can provide any further information on the location of the other sites.

    Hello

Sorry for the delay, I'm quite busy at the moment. This will probably duplicate Andy's envoice.

    Only 3 more locations :

A.54 Bois de Pottier : I have XI/A/54 as Bois du Corroy, in the village of Embry, 10 ENE of Montreuil-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais (62), = Z3064.
A.91 Beaulieu Ferme : Ferme Beaulieu is in Campneuseville, Seine-Maritime (76), 7 km SE of Blangy, = Z3093
A.106 Heudiere : village of Mesnil-Rury, in the Seine-Maritime (76), 24 km SW of Dieppe, XI/A/106 = Z3016, also known as Torp Mesnil (sic)

    Hello Steve,

If you haven't seen it, I suggest you get to Fiefs and have a look at the V1 site there, with the firing post rebuilt in 2010. There are (hope they will last) pictures on the site showing how it was back in 1944.

I hope this thread is still active...

In doing research on the 384th Bomb Group (US 8th AF), I am trying to pinpoint the locations of the assigned primary targets. One that has eluded me is "Le Grismont". I have found a road by that name near Rebecques, France, and I have found a hill named Gris Mont, near the coast. They are about equidistant from London, England. I would welcome any assistance that forum participants can offer, and especially any photos - then or now - of the actual location.
