    Col,
"Unsung Heroes" (The Far East Prisoners of War) by Les and Pam Stubbs has on page 108 for CROPPER: Held "Java".

    Hello Henk,

I believe "Unsung Heroes", is incorrect in placing Cropper in Java. You will notice Cropper's unit is not identified, nor is he mentioned on the "Java Index" (compiled by Anthea Beckett):

    http://www.roll-of-honour.org.uk/Java_Index/html/c.htm

Cropper was repatriated ex-India, in June 1945.

Thanks Col for this info. I bookmarked Anthea Beckett's website.
