Default T E Lawrence photo RAF Magazine

Hi-A photo appeared about 3 years ago in an RAF magazine I think.I have the photo only and I am trying to track down that magazine and perhaps the article. The photo was of Aircraftman 2nd Class T E Shaw[T E Lawrence or Lawrence of Arabia] and he is standing in uniform and barefoot on the starboard float of Moth Seaplane G-EBYV.What was this recent RAF ? publication that featured this photograph and when was this photograph taken and if possible where.

    Regards,Philip

    Hello Philip,

The photo could be from the summer 1929. Place RAF Cattewater (Mount Batten)?

"On 8 March 1929 T.E. Lawrence arrives at RAF Cattewater near Plymouth"

By the way, very interesting website.

    Moth Seaplane G-EBYV

"with floats [after 9.28] and reportedly jointly owned by Nathan and Wing Cdr Sydney Smith [CO RAF
Cattewater]; based Cattewater [RAF Mount Batten] in 1929. Frequently flown by TE Lawrence [Lawrence of
Arabia/AC Shaw]. Reverted to landplane Regd [CofR 2443] 2.30"

I have no details of the mentioned photo.
